JP Meglio is a Branch Manager and was the #1 volume originator nationwide at Angel Oak Home Loans in 2019. His leadership has contributed to record growth for Angel Oak and helping us to become known for superior client experience in the mortgage industry. When asked what he loves about Angel Oak he says, “Everything. We deliver professional, consistent and proactive communication along with competitive rates and innovative non-QM products that make a difference to our customers and the industry.” JP’s knowledge of conventional, government and portfolio lending options serves as a valuable resource to his team and clients helping diverse buyers find the loan that best suits their situation. As a result, he has a highly productive and profitable sales team. JP brings 17 years of expertise in the home lending industry. His career did not start in the mortgage industry, but in the hospitality business. He is a trained chef to the stars in Hollywood and graduated from the Culinary Institute of America in New York in 1993. He left the hospitality business in 2003 and has had a successful career in lending ever since. He enjoys travel, food and music concerts. His favorite sports team is the Los Angeles Kings. JP and his family have a long history in Hollywood as his grandfather has a star on the walk of fame. He won five Oscars for composing the music for West Side Story, Oliver and An American in Paris. He also won a Grammy. His consistency in outperforming as a top originator, embracing core values of integrity, remaining innovative for optimal growth in a challenging market, and vast experience is what sets him apart from other industry experts. JP is committed to serving the mortgage needs of our clients to close more loans efficiently so more buyers can realize the dream of homeownership.
